Postdoctoral Research Fellow
elaheh.ghasemi@ubc.ca

Elaheh Ghasemi earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Université Laval. Throughout her academic journey, she made contributions as a research assistant at FORAC Research Consortium. Additionally, she is also a member of CIRRELT, the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics, and Transportation. Elaheh’s expertise lies in the field of supply chain management, where she has actively participated in practical projects involving collaborations between academic institutions and industrial organizations. a

Her research publications focus on real-world supply chain operations planning, with a particular emphasis on production, inventory, distribution, and transportation activities. During her doctoral studies, Elaheh devoted her efforts to developing decision-making models and methods that effectively coordinate production and inventory management decisions for a divergent forest supply chain. In September 2023, Elaheh will embark on a new endeavor as a postdoctoral fellow at FRESH lab. Collaborating with Dr. Gregory Paradis, she will conduct a scoping study of nature-based decarbonization opportunities for a mining sector industry partner operating in Canada
